Lovely Invitations offer a range of wedding invitations from the plain, simple and elegant single sided invitations to the more luxurious wrap ribbon invitations featuring a thick double sided satin ribbon. The prices quoted include fully printed, (personalised if you wish) invitations, and a matching envelope.

All our designs offer unique wedding invitations and just because they are great invitation cards does not mean that they are expensive. We have worked hard to build a reputation for top quality invitations at prices which enable you to spend more of your budget on other elements of your wedding day. We supply all wedding stationery items at very affordable prices and our minimum order quantity is just 15 invites. Our invitation cards are contemporary in style and we now stock floral wedding invitations featuring a cream rose, gerberas and white lilies.

Once you have placed an order and supplied your details our designers will produce a proof to approve and double check any spellings before we print your invitations and wedding stationery.

We stock a huge range of ribbon colours to complement a colour scheme you may have chosen for your wedding, the more popular wedding colours are, purple, orange, burgundy, lilac, red, black, gold , royal blue, turquoise, teal, aqua and ivory. We can produce invitations with both organza ribbon or satin ribbon.

As soon as you have confirmed your guest list and have all the correct spellings for guests names and addresses then its time to order your stationery. Double check postcodes so that there is less chance of your invitations going astray in the post.

Wedding etiquette usually states that invitations should be sent out 8-10 weeks beforehand but if you’ve not already sent out Save the Date cards then the earlier you can post them the more chance you have your guests will be able to attend. Bear in mind that f you are getting married during the summer people do tend to book holidays up to 12 months in advance.

Its always a good idea to order a few extra wedding and evening invitations as you may have a reserve list of guests who you’d like to invite if you have a wedding guest who is not able to share your wedding day. Its also nice idea to order an additional invitation for your wedding day keepsake box.

Our stationery prices seem much cheaper compared to some companies but you can be confident we don’t compromise on the quality of all the materials we use, ie the thickness of the card, the ribbon width and quality, even the envelopes. We source all items in bulk so we can offer you affordable wedding invitations .

Discount or cheap wedding invitations are usually only available when buying large quantities but at Lovely Invitations our minimum order is just 15. Evening Invitations can also be sent out at this time to the guests who are not attending the ceremony itself.

Its also a good idea to send out a reply card with your invitations as it makes it much easier for your guests to respond to your invitation. They are an excellent way of ensuring your guests reply within a time frame and we can also supply cards with details of the wedding breakfast and a series of tick boxes so you can let the reception venue know number in advance of the wedding. We offer two styles of reply card, the postcard style with RSVP details on one side and your return address on the reverse, these are 30p each or the RSVP card with separate addressed envelope for 50p each.

If you are providing transport between the church or venue and reception then this is way of finding out if they’d like a seat reserving. This is a popular option if reception venues have limited parking

Your order of service would be printed with all personalised details regarding the wedding ceremony, hymns and readings. We include your names, date and church details on the front cover and can print your wedding party details on the inside front cover if you wish ie. Name of best man, bridesmaids, and ushers etc.

Our order of service books can be finished with a luxurious ribbon to match your colour theme. If you prefer we can supply the card outers for you to add your own inserts. All our invitation styles and designs can be incorporated into the order of service.

These are usually ordered last but can be purchased in advance of your wedding day so that you have plenty of time after the wedding to get them posted out to your guests. Why not take them on honeymoon and write them at your leisure.

Its important to send a thank you card to all guest who have sent a gift, even if they were not able to attend the actual wedding day celebrations. We sell thank you cards for just 60p each and the card will match the card used on your initial invitations and other wedding stationery. To save time writing them we can personalise each card and then print a generic thank you message from you both, alternatively for those, who prefer to handwrite a message, we can leave space for this on the design.

Its also appropriate to refer to the actual gift in the card but don’t forget to write a list of who bought what as you open your wedding presents”

Alternatively, we can produce individual menu cards for each guest with their name on. These are much more personal and if your guests have pre-selected their meal choices in advance they can be personalised for each guest with their own choices detailed. These menu cards are perfect for those guests who haven’t remembered what they ordered which could have been a few weeks prior to your wedding day. We can print individual details for the starter, main course and dessert.

We can also provide menus for evening receptions and separate children's menus if you wish.

Alternatively if you wish to handwrite your own place cards then we can supply them blank. We have also introduced Table Numbers to match your place cards.

Planning your wedding

For most of us our wedding day is one of the biggest days (if not the biggest) of our lives and it requires months of planning to ensure it runs smoothly and everyone has a memorable time. Organising the venue, wedding dress, flowers and reception food tends to be quite high up on the list of priorities but organising your wedding stationery is one of the most important aspects of your day. The wedding stationery not only gives your guests all the information they need for your wedding day, for example date, time, venue, directions, gift preferences, and dress code (black tie), the look of your stationery also sets the tone and style of your day. Guests will have a good idea from the wedding invitation what colour scheme you have chosen and the level of formality on the day.

We are able to produce wedding invitations in most languages and have also printed religious symbols on our invitations for both Sikh and Hindu weddings. We have produced invitations for Muslim, Polish, Spanish and Jewish weddings.

These are supplied in matching hammered card and can include any information you may wish to convey to your wedding guest. For example, directions, hotel details, dress code or gift list details. Our insert cards can be used for any information you may wish to include with your wedding invites. Single Sided Printing is 30p per card and double sided printing is just 40p per card.

It is important to notify your guests as soon as you know the date of your wedding so that your wedding date can be put into diaries. Sending out save the date cards in advance takes the pressure off organising your wedding invitations so you can take your time and ensure all ceremony and reception details are correct and included. If you are getting married on a weekday or during school holidays then the earlier your guests know this, the more easily they can arrange to be with you on your wedding day. We also offer Save the Date cards for the whole wedding day and Save the Date cards for the evening reception only.

If you want something that's upscale and classy, but also not at all simple, consider a gatefold wedding invite that comes tied with a beautiful satin or organza ribbon. A ribbon tied around the wedding invitation gives the guests a hint of the wedding that is to come. It's as though they get to unwrap a tiny present when your wedding invitation arrives. Don't rule out simple black and white. A classically styled, large hammered wedding invitation with a white background and simple black text can say a lot about the luxury and nature of your wedding without being too fussy. Sometimes simple and understated is best, and such is definitely the case when it comes to wedding invites. Black and white says that your wedding will be luxurious but classic, timeless but modern. Black and white never goes out of style.
